ANALYSIS OF JAKARTA GLOBE’S DEIXIS AND DEFINITIENESS IN NEWSPAPER

Abstrak

Deixis is a human language peculiarity wherein specific articulation referential relies upon setting use. By knowing deixis, a speaker realizes substitute reference words relying upon the questioner, places and time discussion happens. Deixis can be tracked down in the spoken and composed media. The utilization of proffer deixis ideas in the Paper media is affected by foundation in its subject. This study expects to recognize the deixis utilized in web-based Paper; Jakarta Post. This study was directed by utilizing the illustrative subjective strategy.  The result of this study found that there are five types of deixis and definiteness. It is consisted of one type deixis its about diexis of time (temporal) then three types of definiteness there are proper name, Phrase introduced by a definite  determiner the, Phrase introduced by a definite  determiner that and personal pronoun.
